Making December Daily Simple!

Today I am up on the Paper Issues blog with my version of December Daily! Check out more photos below...

I have serious Project Life, Week in the Life and December Daily anxiety. Scrapbooking something weekly or daily (even monthly) makes me go into OCD overdrive and I start making extensive lists and plans and then I start sweating right before the pending scrapbook related meltdown. The next thing you know I'm sitting in a corner drinking Gin straight from the bottle and sticking enamel dots on the dog. Trust me, nobody wants to see that!

However, I always end up having at least 3 or 4 (if not more) holiday LOs that I end up adding to my to-do list so this year I decided to try a version of December Daily. I did not hold myself accountable for including something every day for 25 days, rather, I simply accumulated all of my family's December activities into a themed album for the month!

I wanted to make this as simple as possible so I bought Simple Stories Cozy Christmas SN@P cards, embellishments and papers from the Paper Issues Shop in the hopes of making my December memories come together quickly! I also used a collection of the Christmas wood veneer and acrylic pieces from Color Cast Designs including the Classic Christmas set, the 2014 Christmas Ornaments set and the Snowflakes!

Check out the Paper Issues store for all your December Daily-ing needs! Use the code "Becky," for 20% off your entire order and $60 after discounts ships for free everyday!

Finally, make sure you check out the Color Cast Designs site for the Christmas sets I used above and the SUPER awesome "One Little Word" sets that Jessica has worked up for you going into the New Year (BIG and small)! Use the code, "Rebmnmny," for 10% off your entire order!

It's Getting Sketchy Up in Here...

Today the December sketches for PageMaps went live and I was fortunate enough to be featured along with 9 other girls from the Paper Issues Creative Team! I got to work with this awesome 12x12 double-page sketch...

...which inspired this layout using Maggie Holmes Open Book for Crate Paper! Maggie's line was perfect for these vintage style photos of my niece by Ford Family Photography!

These banner tags, and woodland creature die cuts are from the Open Book Ephemera Pack - so stinking cute!

The Open Book Printed Flowers and Leaves are gorgeous, complete with glitter and gold foil! You get SO MANY in a pack too!

Finally, a page with Open Book wouldn't be complete without these stunning gold, glitter, script thickers - this is my favorite embellishment from Open Book!

Check out Maggie Holmes stunning Open Book line in the Paper Issues shop, if you haven't done so already, and get 20% off you entire order + free shipping on orders over $60 (after the coupon code) using the code, "Becky."

I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today with Sherri Funk featuring the new Shimelle line for American Crafts. This line is so much fun!

I love this pink and gold heart paper work SO MUCH!!

This photo strip paper is also a favorite! There are so many paper patterns for this line and I love them all, not to mention the cork stickers!

At the Patch...

This was the first time we had ever been to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch in Wheatland and it was AWESOME! They had the BIGGEST pumpkins ever...so big that Lily and Connor could plank on them - it was hilarious! It was such a fun filled day -- face painting, the corn maze, cotton candy, corn dogs and of course picking our pumpkins!

I love, love, love this wood veneer owl from Color Cast Designs

...and this acrylic pumpkin too!

Once again I had so many pictures that I wanted to include that I need a little PL help -- I love these PL inserts. They are the perfect addition to a LO when you need a bit of extra room for photos but don't want to do an entire additional page!

Gobble...Gobble...

I am exactly 2 years behind in my scrapbooking which is why I am scrapbooking Thanksgiving 2012 -- I can't possibly be the only one! I'll admit, putting together this layout is making me hungry! I cannot wait until next Thursday! We are hosting dinner at our house this year and I absolutely love having a house full of friends and family to laugh, drink, eat and celebrate with! The holidays are my absolute favorite!

I put together this layout with an older fall line from Bella Blvd and the NEW wood veneer turkeys from Color Cast Designs! How freaking cute is this guy...?

This guy comes in either birch (pictured) or cherry and the more you order -- the cheaper they are! Also, don't forget to use the code "Rebmnmny," for 10% off your entire order!

Check out these adorable place settings that Jessica Upton, owner of Color Cast Designs, will be setting her Thanksgiving table with this year! She glued mini clothes pins on the backs of each turkey and clipped them to her cloth napkins! What a DARLING idea!

Getting our Game on with The Silver & Black...

I couldn't resist one more layout for the current link party over on the Paper Issues blog! Apparently sports themed layouts are far more common in our albums than I thought -- we do a LOT of sporty things, which is funny because these are some of the most difficult layouts for me to get through!

I used an older Bella Blvd line for this layout of a Raiders game that Anson and I went too. Anson is a HUGE Raiders fan and one of the partners at my firm surprised us with his front row tickets directly behind the goal post (across from the Black Hole, thank God)! This was the first Raisers game I have ever gone to and these fans are CRAY, CRAY! We had a lot of fun though & THE RAIDERS WON -- you don't get to say that everyday!

Remember -- link up a project by November 23rd for a chance to win a $20 Paper Issues gift card!!

So what is Get Your Game On all about? Here are some ideas to get you thinking about what you could link up:

Anything having to do with sports.

Are you glued to the television during the World Series, the Super Bowl or the Olympics?

Who's your favorite sports team and/or favorite athlete?

Do you have a family game night? What do you like to play? Card games, board games, electronic games?

What are some of your favorite childhood games?

What extracurricular activities do the kids in your life participate in?

Use bingo cards, game pieces, spinners or numbers on your project, maybe even add in some number paper.

Do you have an avid gamer in your house? Is there a game that gets played over and over?

Do you have a Wii or other gaming system?

Paper Issues Link Party: Get Your Game On

There is a new link party happening over at Paper Issues starting TODAY called "Get Your Game on!" I created the layout below using Highline products by Basic Grey and pictures of my niece after her dance recital. The colors in this line are so bright and fun!

You too can play along and link up to the Paper Issues current link party for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Paper Issues! Ummm...WHOA! That's freaking AWESOME!

Link up a layout or project featuring your favorite sports team, sports you or your kiddos play, family game night, your favorite family board game and/or extra curricular activities! You can also create a layout using bingo card or game pieces, spinners or other "game" related embellishments -- so MANY ideas for this link party!

Seriously though, little kids performing in dance recitals? -- THE CUTEST THING EVER! And, let me tell you, this girl knows how to work a stage!

Paper Issues Sketchy Saturday 02

Jenn Chapin has done it again with the Paper Issues November Sketch which is up on the blog TODAY! I love that the photo in this sketch is landscape! Since I use my iPhone for about 95% of the photos I take, I rarely have landscape photos anymore which is ironic because with my digital point and shoot camera I never take portrait photos -- LOL!

Check out what the PI Creative Team did with this sketch over on the blog, play along and link up to the Sketch Party by November 21st to win a $10 Paper Issues gift card!

Product used: Basic Grey Highline
