TwoFer Tuesday at Paper Issues...

It's Two-Fer Tuesday today! This month I am up on the Paper Issues blog with a new double page layout that I la la la love! I kept the design of my page pretty simple with 3.75" square photos and patterned papers.

I used the Shine line by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper.  The best thing about Maggie's lines is the abundance of embellishments! Be sure to check out all the details over on the Paper Issues blog!

Simple Stories Product Spotlight...

Hello! The Paper Issues design team is putting the spotlight on Simple Stories new Pumpkin Spice line today on the blog!

I designed another double-page layout using this line. I love my double-pages!

I layered the bits (die cuts), enamel dots, chipboard stickers and the bradz throughout my layout to draw your eye to specific photos.

Simple Stories has so many great embellishments with each of their lines! There is always so mych to choose from!

At the bottom of the page I used wallet sized photos and the 2x2 chipboard frames layered with bits (die cuts). I love how this came out! I am really enjoying the chipboard frame pack from this line!

Here I used the Expressions stickers, bits (die cuts), bradz and enamel dots. Clustering is totally my thing right now! Also, I love that the Simple Stories bradz are now sticky -- no more prongs!

Today's layout uses the new Carta Bella Fall Blessings which was JUST restocked in the Paper Issues shop! The colors in this line are perfect! PERFECT!! I also love the thick linen texture of the Carta Bella papers!

Two-Fer Tuesday Debut...

Hello, today I have a new blog feature up on the Paper Issues blog called, Two-Fer Tuesday! 

I, for one, have never lost the love for a 2-pager! That is how I learned to scrapbook years ago and about 85% of the layouts that I still do in our family albums are two pages!

This month I am using the Life Documented line from Simple Stories and the felt bows from Bella Blvd for these family bowling photos!

I used the new Summer Sun line from Fancy Pants Designs (coming soon to the Paper Issues shop).

I also had to sneak in some of the Color Cast Designs new acrylic alphabets and the Doodlebug Glitter Sprinkles because they coordinated with this line perfectly! 

The die cut shapes and the chipboard buttons worked perfectly for the clusters on each side of my main photo!

Scraplift Sunday...

Happy Mother's day! Coincidentally it's also Scraplift Sunday over at the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group! If you're not a member, add yourself right now for instant inspiration, fun events and scrappy chat all week long! 

This week we picked Devra Hunt's Swag Bag layout from this Paper Issues blog post as inspiration! 

 I lifted Devra's layout  for the left side of my page and added on a second page for this 2-page spread of my niece! Yes! I am still working on her baby book but I'm nearly done! 

I used Heidi Swapp's latest collection, Wanderlust, for this layout. The jewel tones paired perfectly with these photos by Ford Family Photography.  

I broke out a collection of my favorite Thickers for a looooooong title! I love to mix and max my Thickers - it makes me happy!

Even a few Swag Bag bits made it onto this layout, like this chipboard "favorite" frame from the February Swag Bag! 

I love these little paper clip flags from the collection as well as the die cut flowers included with the Wanderlust Flea Market Pouch! 

With some final touches from my stash, including the pink doilie and the kraft paper bows, I called this one finished! Nine photos in all! BOOM!

This Moment. Right Now...

Elle's Cienna is by far my favorite line from Elle's to date! I love the soft colors and how perfectly well this line, although Valentine's day theme inspired, really works with so many themes!

For this double page layout I started with a blank white background as my canvas and I really wanted to keep the focus on these gorgeous photos by Ford Family Photography of my sister's gorgeous family!

I added pops of the Cienna patterned papers to border my photos using a 2 1/2" circle punch.

Then I picked through the embellishments from the line, my beloved collection of paper bows and some of my Color Cast Designs wood veneers to embellish here and there as I saw fit!

I love how this page came out!

Take me to the zoo..

We took my nieces to the Sacramento Zoo for the day and it was so much fun (and exhausting - LOL)! These girls are like little Energizer Bunnies and they keep going and going and gong...

For this double-page layout I used Jen Hadfield's Home+Made collection for Pebbles - perfect for a bright sun shiny day at the zoo with these sweet girls!

The Color Cast Design's silly animal parade wood veneers were perfect for these pictures too! I love their funny little faces!
