Paper Issues FREE October Cut File!

This month Paper Issues has an awesome Halloween themed FREE cut file for you! Danielle designed this web background and you can pick it up for FREE right HERE along with all of the other FREE cut files, FREE printables and FREE sketches that Paper Issues provides each month!

I LOVE this file and I was instantly inspired by it.

I didn't want to use a lot of patterned paper because I wanted the web to really pull the layout together!

I used an older Echo Park Halloween line to layer some basic papers behind each photo and then used stickers to add bits here and there!

I really loved how this turned out! Isn't it awesome when a layout actually transfers from your brain to the paper as expected?!?!

Thank you for stopping by today to take a look! Don't forget to play along with our FREE cut files and link them up in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group in our monthly challenge albums for a chance to win!

This Happened...

So...I convinced Anson that he needed to have a mohawk and because he loves me and indulges my crazy and, sometimes, erratic behavior -- he actually did it! So of course I had to scrap that!

I used October Afternoon Summertime collection for the selfie that I then made him take of his mohawk -- LOL! Because, if there's no scrapbook layout, it never happened!

I used this layout for one of the August Paper Issues challenges! OMG -- August seems like it was so long ago!

Have you checked out the awesome challenges each month over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group? There is still time to enter the September challenges which are due October 11th and the October challenges are just getting started and will run through November 9th! For each challenge that you participate in you are entered in a drawing for one of two $10 Paper Issues gift cards!

I freaking love enamel dots!

Factory Reset Required...

I totally lifted this layout from my girl McJen because the use of those chipboard frames is pure genius! For this layout I used Simple Stories Summer Vibes!

I got a lot of miles out of this collection -- it is so bright and cheerful! The die cuts (bits) are the best!

Layering the die cuts over the frames gave the page a lot of texture!

And for those times that you run out of the most used letters but still have a bunch of letters left - you improvise! LOL

Baby Jaxson...

Hello! Today I am sharing a layout inspired by the April 1, 2015 sketch from Stuck Sketches! I used the Elle's Stuido Cienna collection for this baby picture of Jaxson! Since he's still a little baby here, I sneaked some pink papers in even though he is a boy -- LOL!

I paired the wood veneer with the stickers from the collection for my title! I like to mix my titles up with different elements.

OMG -- this face! I cannot resist it. When I went to the shelter to look at this liter of puppies Jaxson was sound asleep on the bottom of the puppy pile and I knew I had to have him!

Right now I am loving when collections include phrase stickers. I love these! They are so easy to pop up and layer onto your projects for added texture!

Sketchy Saturday

Hello! Beky here today with a take this month's sketch over on the Paper Issues blog! The original layout was done by Jennifer Chapin and can be seen here in all of its awesomeness!

Be sure to check out more from Jenn Chapin on:

You can also check out all of the past Paper Issues sketches here should you need additional inspiration!

I used the Max collection from Bella Blvd for this layout of my boys doing what boys do best - veggin' out on the couch with their video games! This is a common scene in my house! Have boys...? I'm sure you empathize!

The new giant ampersands from Color Cast Designs are some awesome! I used one on this page in yellow.

I also used the "On the Screen" wood veneer from the "On The..." set from Corlor Cast designs as well.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look today! Be sure to stop by the Paper Issues {Friends and Fans} Facebook group to participate in all of our monthly challenges, including this sketch! Each challenge that you participate in will enter you for a chance to win one of two Paper Issues gift cards each month!

Bad Dog...

OMG! I remember how mad I was this day!! LOL -- Jaxson was in so much trouble for going out and getting filthy in the mud! I had just bought him a brand new collar too! In hind sight, the whole thing is now pretty funny! Especially considering how ashamed he looks due to his naughty behavior!

This double page layout was my entry for the August Snarky Stamp Challenge over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group! Be sure to check out this month's challenge here!

I used the Fall Blessings line from Carta Bella along with a ton of the Simple Stories SN@P alpha packs for my title!

Thank you for coming by to take a look!

Back to School Obligatory Photo...

I loved the August releases from Color Cast designs! Being able to order the exact dates you need for those back to school photos was such an awesome idea! Definitely check out the School Years from CCD here!

I used my Messy Box for this photo of my kiddos that I forced them to pose for during the first week of school! Yes, I missed the first day photo op -- LOL!

The School Years pairs perfectly with the Back to School set! I love that the new, thinner, wood veneer from CCD can be attached to projects with staples! So awesome!

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look today! Be sure to use the code "becky" over at Color Cast Designs for 20% off your entire order!
